Sponsors: Skoda, Oakley

Team: Garmin Transitions

Nickname: Bobby

Coach: Ian McKenzie / Matt White

Manager: Kahl Bobridge

Career highlight to date:

World U23 time trial 2009.

Cycling Tribe: Jack, thanks for your time. How has the training been going since that great ride in February in which you shattered Brad McGee’s 8 year old Australian 4000m individual pursuit record? How are the legs feeling?

Jack Bobridge: The training has been good so far and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do with more track preparation.

CT: So everything is looing good for track world championships later this month in Copenhagen (March 24-28)?

JB: Its hard to say, coz there are always good teams popping up so we will give it our best like always

CT: Who do you expect your main rivals to be in Denmark?

JB:  The pommies, kiwis and Danish are normally our rivals

CT: How did you find the experience of riding the Tour Down Under in January? What major differences did you notice when compared to riding U23 and U19 races?

JB: Pro peloton is different, more professional.

CT: Let’s talk post track world championships. Do you know which one-day races you are going to target?

JB: No, not yet

CT: Lance Armstrong said of you:

“I would love to have a kid like Bobridge. He is complete and he is aggressive, which is really cool to see for a young guy – no fear. But he needs the right program to develop him, I think.''

It would be hard to find a higher form of praise in the world of Cycling than Armstrong’s comments. Do you believe that you currently are on the right training program to develop you in order to one day reach your ultimate potential?

JB: Yes, I  think I have got a great combination.

CT: You obviously have some pretty awesome top end speed, and the ability to hold that speed for a significant period of time. However, your climbing is a bit of an unknown. What are your views on your climbing abilities?

JB:  No one knows until they get into bigger and better races in Europe.  When I am exposed to this I will know

CT: What are your goals from now until London 2012?

JB: Worlds, Commonwealth Games and racing with my new team.

CT: Will your Father/Manager, Kahl, be travelling with you this year?

JB: Some events.

CT: Lastly, do you have some favourite training sessions that you could share with us?

JB:  I enjoy all my training sessions

CT: Thanks for your time and all the best in Denmark.
