From the Herald Sun: Light, 24, was the South Australian under-18 steeplechase record-holder but injuries eventually forced her to look for something else and she took up cycling seriously only early last year (2009). She has made impressive progress, finishing third in the time-trial on Wednesday and blitzing a quality field with a long, lone breakaway from midway through last night's 33km race, winning with the field literally out of sight more than two city blocks away in Ballarat's main street.
